Its been a fun Bank holiday weekend….
It started on the Friday when I took the day off. Did absoloutly bugger all for a whole day. I felt guilty then so on the Saturday I decided to go into work to finish of a server I’m prepping for a customer. Spent some time in the afternoon war-driving looking for open wireless lans. I found one local site and I’ll be popping round to have a quiet chat with the IT manager next week.
Sunday morning we were sitting in the garden wondering what to do with ourselves when my mobile rang. It was Paula’s cousin. “Would we like to come over for tea?” Well the chance to visit her son’s kids one of which is our god-daughter was one not to be missed. The afternoon was spent playing trains and tractors and being 5 years old all over again:-) Absoloutely knackered afterwards:-)
In the evening I downloaded a new (To me anyway) Linux distribution called Damn Small Linux http://www.damnsmalllinux.org
It a Linux distribution thats fits on one of those 50Mb business card CDRs. Yes you read right, a 50Mb distribution. Its got everything you need including XWindows! Ran perfectly on my laptop and even found my WLAN card.
